The John Wilding Battery
Clock.
A modern version of the early Ever
Ready electro-mechanical clock,based on the Herbert Scott patent of 1902.
Measuring 1ft 3in high,9.25in wide
and 7.5in deep,it has it's original 5 glass case. The pendulum swings
forewards and back instead of from side to side and is powered by two 1.5 volt
batteries,housed in the base of the clock. This particular piece is very well
made and finished,and won an award at a national exhibition in the late 1990's.
