A Swiss watchmakers mandrel,probably of late Victorian vintage,measuring approx 9.5in high,18in long and 7in deep.
Mainly of brass construction,with adjustable tool rest and compound slide with tool post.
Used primarily for faceplate turning,recessing etc of watch plates.
Currently in need of a good clean it is mounted on a modern wooden stand.
Still capable of good workshop use but also a very attractive piece for display.
