A Live Steam Model Launch. Ref: wsn895. Made approx 8 years ago,from a kit supplied by John Hemmens of North Yorkshire,the launch is approx 42in long. The hull is made of GRP,decking etc of wood with brass fittings. The motive power is a marine v-twin oscillating engine known as the "Richmond".The steam is supplied by a gas fired "Wharfedale" verticle boiler. Full technical details available. Typical of the elegant steam powered boats,popular in Edwardian times on English lakes and rivers,this launch,in 1/6th scale will run on the water for about 35 minutes. Designed to be operated manually or by radio control,it comes with a box of electronic gear and instructions.
