A Set of Screwing Boxes (Dies) and Taps for Cutting Threads in Wood. Ref: wsnthread. A collection of wood cutting taps and dies,probably dating from the early 1900's. Comprising 21 screw boxes and 17 taps,the pieces are either unmarked or bear the marks of: Buck,Tottenham Court Road,London. Meluish,Fetter Lane,London. F.Burke. Marples and Sons,Sheffield. Sizes from 0.5in to 2in approx.In generally very good condition for age and includes 2 large iron tap handles. Although a mixed set I think that it should be kept intact as any sets of these tools are now quite rare.
