An English Fusee Skeleton Clock,Ref:ws3387. The clock measures approx 1ft 4in high,1ft 1in wide and 8.5in deep, excluding dome. Made probably by Smiths of Clerkenwell,London, mid 1800's. The 8 day chain single fusee passing strike movement has 6-spoked wheels, and 6 pillars. The frames are brass, the engraved chapter ring is silvered. The barrel cover is skeletonised. The base and dome are probably not original but are a good fit.
The clock is first class quality and has been very well looked after. It needs to be seen,it is very attractive,my photos do not do it justice ! I have the family provenance from the date of presentation.
