Made late 18th century,the base of the case is marked "E Bird  Bristol".
Red lacquer ground on pine with gilt decoration of birds,foliage and flowers.
Overall height 62in, the dial overall 29.5in.

8 day weight driven anchor movement with long pendulum.

E.Bird is well documented in Jim Moore's excellent book on Bristol
clockmakers.
